Water your grass.

Because your best self deserves to lead this season.

It’s easy to scroll someone else’s highlight reel and think:

They’ve got it all figured out.
Their business is booming.
Their house is clean.
Their relationship is thriving.
Their life is so put together.

Meanwhile, you’re staring at half-done goals, overflowing inboxes, and wondering why your motivation hasn’t magically shown up for Q2.

Here’s the truth:

Sometimes the grass looks greener over there because… it’s fake.

Filters. Facades. Carefully curated wins.

The grass isn’t greener over there—it’s greener where you water it.

The only person it’s fair to compare yourself to is… you.

Are you showing up in your life the way you say you want to?

Are you leading yourself with integrity, clarity and care?

Because that’s the best thing you can do for yourself –
in leadership, in life, in love – is this:

Show up as who you say you are.

Your High Self vs. Your Low Self

Every day, we  choose who leads.

Our High Self—grounded, intentional, present.

The part of us that makes decisions from alignment—not anxiety.

That leads with values, not vanity.

That responds instead of reacts.

And then there’s the Low Self:

The one who spirals into scarcity.

Who scrolls instead of connects.

Who performs instead of embodies.

Who chases “enough” but never feels it.

With so much noise, it's easy to slip.

But just as easily—you can return.

10 Prompts to Reset This May

  1. Where am I chasing instead of choosing?

  2. What version of me has been running the show lately?

  3. What does my best look like in this season—realistically?

  4. What needs to shift for me to feel proud at the end of the day?

  5. Where am I giving away my power?

  6. What boundary, habit, or mindset needs to be reinforced?

  7. What’s something I’ve already done this year that deserves celebration?

  8. Who or what brings out my Highest Self?

  9. What’s no longer mine to carry or compare against?

  10. What would it look like to water my own grass every day?

Try this today:

Pick one prompt. Write for 5 minutes. No edits, no overthinking.

Then ask yourself:

What does my highest self need next?

Not their best.
Not Instagram’s best.
Your best.

That’s enough. That’s always been enough.

🌊What’s Filling My Well Lately

Re-reading: The Gifts of Imperfection by Brené Brown
Mindset shift: “Just because it worked before doesn’t mean it’s right for now.”
Tiny joy from this week: First el fresco dinner of the season – sunshine, mocktails, family slow conversation.
Edge I am stepping into: Having the conversation I don’t want to, before I need to.

Let May be the month you stop chasing—and start choosing.

Lead your life.
Water your grass.

With love,

❤️ Mandy
